I look forward to being part of your aviation journey!
Calling a spade a spade, checkrides are stressful. So I’m a big fan of the saying “Don’t add stress!” I want you to be comfortable, relaxed and confident on your big day. Part of my job is to make sure that’s how you feel from the moment we meet.
A few things you should know about me:
✔ I don’t ask trick questions. ✔ I treat everyone with respect. ✔ I follow the Airman Certification Standards (ACS) and Practical Test Standards (PTS) to the letter. ✔ I don’t expect perfection; I do expect sound Aeronautical Decision Making and good judgement. ✔ I give my undivided attention during practical tests. ✔ I love what I do and try to keep the mood light. |
… and last but not least: although my role is to evaluate, it’s important for you to know that I want you to succeed! I consider it a privilege and honor to be in the position to administer your FAA practical test, and a successful outcome makes it all the better.
It’s my sincere desire that your checkride is a positive experience for you. If you meet or exceed the Airman Certification Standards, it will truly be my pleasure to award you a fresh Temporary Airman Certificate at the conclusion of your practical test.
